I made this little book as a gift for the very, very special friends and family members who helped me during my year of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. It's a very personal story for me... written as my way of saying thank you to those who contributed in such a variety of loving ways. However, most everyone I gave the book to suggested that I somehow make it available online so others can use some of the ideas. I'm shy to do so, but here it is. Better yet, perhaps this blog can be used as a space to share more ideas of how to help when someone you know gets cancer. Pay it forward, as they say! - Laura Ruud
